“Solar Recordings of Phone Calls with Family Members, Friends, and Scammers” is a long-term photographic project in which the movement of the sun across the sky is recorded through exposures determined by the duration of telephone conversations. Words are transformed into dark, celestial streaks cutting across often banal landscapes. The project is realized through the physical contact of light with medium-format film. The resulting photographs become quiet witnesses to the development—and sometimes the ending—of relationships.
The exhibition is open until March 1, by prior appointment.
