Morgensztern

Your presence sets in motion a game where no beginning can be found, nor an end. Inspired by medieval weaponry – trebuchets and the morgenstern – the exhibition intertwines these motifs with the language of contemporary art and the aesthetics of Polish cyber-fantasy. What once served as an instrument of destruction is here transformed into an artistic form stripped of harmful intent. Painting turns weaponry into ornament, violence into process, and danger into play. The exhibition invites touch – though at your own risk of a prick. Enter a visual system where impasto blends with pixels, and art, like an obstacle course, hurls us from one level to the next. It is a test of endurance — an exercise in patience and a torture of interpretation. The project was organized as part of the Dean’s Award in the 13th edition of the New Image / New Vision 2024 competition.
