Let’s make a zine together! Creative gatherings accompanying the exhibition “We believed too easily that beauty does not save”
workshops

15.05 (Friday), 5:00–8:00 PM
This time we’re collecting images! Bring cameras, markers, crayons, and unwanted magazines. On site there will also be an Instax instant camera, a scanner, and some basic art supplies.
We will talk about how the definition of beauty has changed over the years, as well as examples of artworks related to nature. Together, we will add another layer to our zine—photographs, drawings, and collages. We also invite participants from the literary session—the texts created there, together with visual materials, will form a preliminary draft of our zine.
If you’d like, bring with you:
art supplies
a camera
archival photographs
unwanted magazines
dried plants or other small found treasures
No age restrictions; children are also welcome under adult supervision.
We encourage both people who feel confident in these techniques and those who simply want to try something new—or just spend time creating during pleasant spring days.
We invite you to a shared writing session, which will culminate in a small zine. Alongside the exhibition “We believed too easily that beauty does not save” (a title—unsurprisingly—from a poem by Herbert), we are organizing a meeting for everyone who loves poems, stories, and language—both written and spoken.
Inspired by the exhibition’s theme, we will begin by talking about what seasons mean today—how strongly they shape our way of life, and whether we still practice any traditions or rituals connected to them. What has already been written about them? How do we remember the summers or winters of childhood? The texts created during the meeting (or brought along—we encourage you to share what you already have) will become part of the final zine at the end of the exhibition.
If you’d like, bring with you:
– your favorite notebook
– a poetry collection that has recently moved you
– any texts you’ve already written
