Junkjard

Junkyard — A site filled with used, damaged parts or seemingly useless objects. The term can refer both to a place where worn-out machinery and components are stored, and to a space overrun with items that have lost their original purpose. Within the junkyard, processes of material decay take place, rusting, cracking, crumbling, while at the same time, salvage operations occur: elements suitable for reuse in other devices are recovered and repurposed.
